Dustin’s Story
Dustin
Dustin was a tenderhearted, compassionate young man who served the Lord his entire life. He started going on mission trips with his youth group at age 12, loved basketball and was a diehard Lakers fan. He is remembered for his smile that lit up a room and his magnetic personality that drew people to him. He loved to play jokes on people just to get them to smile.
Dustin inspired others by how well he loved people and tried to help those in need that he encountered. He was nonjudgmental and used his sense of humor to encourage others, always striving to make others smile.
While he lost his battle to drug addiction, his mother shares, “He wasn’t just another drug addict. Having been given pain medicines due to a health condition, he became addicted." He tried to quit taking the pain medicines for so many years, while he nor his mother were aware of his addiction to the prescription medications. He fought to the end, trying to be free from his addiction and also wanting to help others struggling with their own addiction to pain meds.
Dustin will be most remembered for his love for God, his 2 young boys, and his family. He is dearly loved.
